Michael & Jose

San Francisco, California, USA
Gay male couple - Retired Business Executive & Retired Professor
I speak English, Spanish

Michael is a recently retired business executive and Jose is a recently retired college professor - Spanish. We are in a long-term relationship and were married in August 2008. We love our home and we enjoy living in the Bay Area. We keep very busy with theatre, symphony, opera, films, cooking, entertaining family and friends and, of course, traveling. It would be our pleasure to share our beautiful home with you and, of course, we would treat your home as if it were our own. When we are not home enjoying all the natural beauty and amenities of San Francisco and Northern California, we are either in South America, traveling to the familiar places that we love or checking out something new. Our most recent trips included a Baltic cruise and an incredible three week home exchange in Amsterdam. We also spent four weeks in Italy doing a 12 day cruise and then following the Caravaggio trail through Rome, Naples, Sicily and Northern Italy. We are especially interested in finding 2 to 4 week exchanges in France, Spain, Italy, UK, Amsterdam, Stockholm or exchanges closer to home in NYC, Chicago or Boston. However, we are open to all offers. Since we spend December through March at our second home in Uruguay, we would also be interested in non-simultaneous exchanges.

If South America sounds appealing, we would love sharing with you our South American home while we are there during the Uruguayan summer (Dec - Mar). Our "Casita de Los Tios" in Uruguay is located near the beach in a peaceful balneario mid-way between Montevideo and the famous international resort of Punta del Este. It is a small, beautifully furnished casita with three bedrooms, two baths, a beautiful garden patio with barbeque and is only two blocks from some of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. It is a short drive to Playa Chihuahua, the best nude beach in Uruguay with a wonderful restaurant right on the beach. It is an easy 45 minute drive to either Montevideo or Punta del Este. It is a 30 minute flight or short high-speed ferry ride across the Rio de Plata to Buenos Aires. However, Montevideo is like a smaller Buenos Aires, but with beautiful beaches right in the city!
