Have your own private suite in this stunning four floor Cape Town house on the slopes of Lion’s Head with fabulous views to Bantry Bay below and out to Robben Island. The guest suite covers the entire first floor of the house and contains a large lounge with bar area and flat screen plasma TV; a double bedroom and shower room. The lounge opens on to a terrace and small tropical garden with fish pond. The suite is decorated in Art Deco style with some original Deco pieces in tones of black, white and silver. The suite is completely private and is accessed by the in-house lift.

Cape Town is a well known destination for European winter visitors as the months from November through to April are wonderfully hot and sunny and virtually rain and humidity free. With a very favourable exchange rate, eating out and shopping are cheap by European standards. (Example: a beer in a bar costs less than a pound!!) The house is a ten minute drive to the city centre and gay district and also a ten minute drive to the famous Camps Bay which has a beautiful white sandy beach and many excellant restaurants. The Wine Lands are a 45 minute drive away, and the delightful Garden Route on the Indian Ocean is less than four hours away. Unfortunately, public transport is poor, so it is essential for visitors to hire a car.

Tom and I just spent a most amazing week in the private guest suite of John's stunning home in Bantry Bay in Cape Town. John's home is perfectly located to experience all Cape Town has to offer. Hiking, beaches, dining options, shopping and exploring were all within easy reach by a rental car (which John even arranged for us). John was an amazing host, suggesting things for us to do and restaurants for us to enjoy. We were 100% satisfied with the restaurants which he picked for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cape Town, and discovered we had made a new friend, as well. If Cape Town weren't so far from Vancouver, we think we'd return annually!

What an incredible experience my partner and I had staying in John's beautiful house high in the hills above Cape Town! From his pool terrace, the views stretch across the Atlantic and for miles up the wild coast of the Southern Cape. And his house itself is perfection. But the very best part of our ten day trip was meeting John -- such a nice, interesting, and fun guy, and a real font of knowledge both about Cape Town and South Africa. In short, we couldn't have had a better first time experience with "Home Around the World" -- meeting John, his friends, and exploring the beautiful city of Cape Town, its exceptional flora -- and fauna! We look forward to him visiting us, and in a perfect world hope to return so that we can all drive up Northern Cape and into Namibia.

Our first ever experience with "Home Around The World" more than fullfilled our expectations. John was just a wonderful host and his house overlooking the dazzeling town of Cape Town and the Atlantic ocean with Robben Island was just out of this world. My partner and myself are still talking about the wonderful time in the Western Cape. John was very helpful with his knowledge about the where-abouts of the whole region and especially about the culinary hot spots. Thanks again. We can't wait to have John over at our place in Germany's Black Forest Region to catch up and give back at least some of the generosity we still dwell on.
