On the east-side of the centre of Amsterdam, just 2 minutes from metrostation “Wibautstraat” you will find our apartment. It’s a modern building (2014) in a 19th century area. After a long day of exploring Amsterdam, our home is a perfect place for relaxation. When the wheather is nice our balcony offers you a nice place to sit outside. The apartement is located on the third floor and can be reached by an elevator.

Our apartment has a light and bright feeling. It’s situated on the backside of the apartment building which means that it is very quiet.
We have a livingroom with two big windows with an open kitchen and a storage room.
Next to a bedroom with a kingsize bed for 2, we also have a guest/bed room (for 1) with balcony. The bathroom (with a shower) and kitchen have all the facilities that you need, dishwasher, oven, induction cooking.
The interior is modern, cosy and minimalistic, a mix of antiques and modern and at the moment a lot of plants too. The apartment has wifi connection. There are speakers that can be connected to a laptop.

Cycling is a great way of exploring Amsterdam. If you like you can use our bikes, but you can also rent them at different spots in the city.

We live in a trendy and upcoming area. Here you will find some very nice, trendy restaurants, (lunch) cafes and the typical dutch “bruine kroeg” (old and cosy cafe). Shops are within a 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bike.
We also live close to the centre of Amsterdam with museums like Hermitage, Foam, Van Gogh, Rijksmueum, Stedelijk Museum, and the world-famous Canals (Herengracht etc). The beautiful neighbourhoud “De Pijp”, the Utrechtsestraat, nice parks, places to go out etc. are all easy to reach within 10-20 minutes by bike or tram.

We went to Amsterdam for a week and stayed at Patrick's place. We used Amsterdam as a base to visit other towns in Holland like Leiden, Harlem and Muiderslot.
Patrick and myself were in contact via email and then WhatsApp which meant key collections were easy to arrange.
Amsterdam is a very busy city with tourists almost everywhere... the apartment was a lovely oasis of calm after the hectic city centre!
When we returned to London we found our home spotless!
Unfortunately we didn't actually get to meet Patrick... maybe another time!

We stayed for one week in July at Patricks and Olafs home and we loved it. If you think of going to Amsterdam we can highly recommend this place. Their apartment is comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. It has an easy access to everything. You have public transport around but you should go by bike (we could use their). The apartment is next to the Amstel so you are in the city center within a few minutes but also at all the other spots to go. The neighbourhood is very friendly and there are so many places to visit. Patrick and Olaf were wonderful hosts, they had so many tipps for us. They stayed at ours twice and were also perfect guests. The contact was very easy, we skyped, mailed and stayed in touch all the time. We would swap again within a heartbeat.
