Three-storey town house in Alicante city centre. It was entirely renovated in 2008. On the first floor there are two bedrooms – one of which has an en suite bathroom – and a study. The living room, kitchen and main bathroom are on the second floor. On the top floor there is a laundry room, a sitting room and a terrace with quite a lot of plants and a partial view of the castle.

The house is a fifteen-minute walk to the beach. It is close to most main amenities, such as shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas, the concert hall, theatres, the castle and museums.
Alicante has got wonderful beaches ( including nudist beaches) you can swim in nearly all year round .For those who love the mountains you have lots of really picturesque villages not far from the city ( one hour by car ).

Additionally Alicante is very well connected with Madrid ( 2 hrs by train), Barcelona ( 5 hrs by train) and Benidorm ( 30 mins drive). It is also very well connected with the rest of Europe with a great deal of low cost flights to a large number of European cities.

Juan & Josep are just fabulous.... intelligent, informed, funny - a total delight to conduct a house-swap with. We setup our 'swap' several months earlier and finally we were there... :-)
My partner & I went to Alicante for an initial 3-days where Juan & Josep introduced us to the locale - best restaurants, markets, beaches, tapis, coffee, friends, it was a great introduction. They then left for Aus. and we proceeded to explore Alicante and the entire Spanish coast-line using Alicante as our base - which is so easy from here.
Their 3-storey home has a fab sunny outside deck/covered sunroom which we used everyday, great kitchen - which we used a lot after the markets!!!! and great bedrooms and is in walking distance to everything. And Alicante is an excellent location to understand Spanish culture - the food (fantastic), the markets (we absolutely loved these), the castle, the beach promenades, home of the around the world volvo- yatch race, there is so much going.... and again it is an easy drive up to Valencia and then a stay in Barcelona - omg, and then back to Alicante for R&R. We then went down to Granada and surrounds for several days and then back home - it is an excellent location from which to travel. I left for Morocco and up to Portugal which was a natural launch from Alicante.
It was one of the best experiences we have had overseas, I cant recommend it enough and I highly recommend a 'swap' with J&J - they are just gorgeous... thank you Juan, thank you Josep b :-)

Casper and I stayed in Juan and Josefs place in Alicante for a month this year (2018). It was a terrific experience from beginning to end
Juan and Josef had stayed in our place in Vancouver two years previous so we had met before. They are great guys and their place is fantastic. It is centrally located in Alicante and we were able to walk everywhere. Their home is comfortable, spacious and has everything we needed.
Alicante is a fun city and we were there for an amazing unique June festival. It is also a city from which you can easily explore the wonders of Andulicia.
These guys are very accommodating and take care of everything. We highly recommend swapping with them
