  • Comfortable and quiet apartment with use of pool, gym and on-site concierge staff.
  • Pleasant residential area with its own interesting history, and with easy access to shops, restaurants and all amenities.
  • Excellent transport links to all that London has to offer.

Comfortable first-floor (walk-up) apartment (1 double-bed, one double sofa-bed; 600 sq ft/60 sq m) in a quiet resident-owned estate, based in converted industrial buildings overlooking a landscaped square, with oblique river views. The estate offers a small swimming-pool and gym, 24-hour security and friendly concierge staff. Our square is often used for barbecues, and is a pleasant place to sit in the sun.

The usual appliances and media/entertainment (including smart TV with catch-up/on-demand apps and a couple in French and German) , and lots and lots of books (some in French and German), also wireless internet access, and/or use of my PC.

This is a quiet residential area in London Docklands, just south of ‘Wall Street-on-Thames’ at Canary Wharf, with good access by public transport to all that London has to offer. Canary Wharf, with its shopping centres and plenty of restaurants, is about 10-15 minutes away by bus, Docklands Light Railway or public hire cycle. Central London can be reached in 30-40 minutes by the Underground (Jubilee Line) from Canary Wharf, or by DLR or direct riverboat service from the pier beside the estate.

In the immediate neighbourhood we have a park and city farm, and extensive riverside walks. Historic maritime Greenwich, with its park and museums, is 20 minutes walk away by foot tunnel under the Thames (as well as by DLR). The Olympic Park at Stratford can be reached by DLR or Underground in about half an hour.

Shopping at Canary Wharf and in Greenwich as well as local supermarket (15 minutes walk away) and convenience store and sub post office over the road from the estate.

There are gay bars in Greenwich and in Limehouse, both about 20 minutes away; but commuting into the centre is all part of the London experience!

We stayed 10 days in Patricks apartment. It is in a quiet residential quartier of London. We loved it! The apartment is very nice and just beside the river Thames. We loved the pedestrian tunnel to go to Greenwich - a wonderful experience. Also the busy Canary Wharf with the good looking boys and men in there business dresses... very cute. Every day from 5 pm a very festive atmosphere as everywhere in London! The tube is practical and brings you directly to Westminster or Green Park or the Bus to the City. We used of course the swimming pool and sauna every day. Super!
