Cutting-edge design apartment in Amsterdam centre (Jordaan)

Jordaan area, Amsterdam, Netherlands

My apartment (100 sq. metres) has two floors: a raised ground floor (living room and open-plan kitchen), a basement (bedroom and open-plan bathroom) and a very sunny garden. Brand new kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher; washing machine and drier, rain shower and seperate bath; on a very quiet street just around the corner of the lively canals. I have one very large bed (2.80 × 2 m), but also a self-inflating mattress that could be used in the living room and could sleep 2 more.

My apartment is located in the most attractive part of Amsterdam, the Jordaan, an urban conservation area (within the World Heritage site) with low-rise buildings. It forms part of a very characteristic listed building, just around the corner of the Prinsengracht canal. There is a very pleasant shopping street (Elandsgracht) around the corner, with all the shops you could possibly need. The “9 streets”, a shopping area with small boutique shops, is also just around the corner. The city centre is a few minutes’ walk, as are all the main museums. Easy tram and bus connections to the airport and train station.

I spent a weekend at Andrew's place with a friend and the whole experience was an absolute delight. Andrew is extremely easy to communicate with so the whole preparation process & the logistic side of things went very smoothly. His place is stunning and is both minimalist and extravagant at the same time. The tag "Total luxury" is no overstatement, not to mention the fact that the location is downright brilliant. I would be more than happy to swap again with Andrew anytime in the future.
Thanks again for a wonderful time!

Great, great place. Centrally located, extremely nice.
Everything went very smoothly with Andrew, too bad we did a simultaneous swap and could not meet.

The exchange with Andrew was for a spontaneous long weekend trip and it could have not been more smoothly and pleasurable.

The flat is very central and in a trendy area of Amsterdam, has a stylish interior with lots of personal touches and equipped with everything ones needs. There is a supermarket and many restaurants within few meters.

The communication with Andrew prior, during and after swapping was excellent.

I highly recommend the apartment and the host to all future HATW swappers!

I stayed for 2 weeks in Amsterdam in Andrews place. Amazing design apartment in the center of Amsterdam with all accessories and facilities you can imagine . Especially I loved the quiet, beautiful back garden . Situated in the very center of Amsterdam next to the channels ring. A few steps all the shops and restaurants you need. I meet Andrew wich is the best host you can imagine. All were facilities and collaboration. I strongly recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to spend unforgettable days in the wonderful Amsterdam.
