This is a working farm during the summer, you are more then welcome to come during this time (Summer is the best time to visit PEI) You will be housed in the Guest House as Paul and I need to be on site during this time of year. What to do: On the farm …relax, sleep late, walk in the woods, catch some sun at the pigionaire, Cook great meals after a day of touring the Island, then lay on the front yard and watch for falling stars. On The Island….enjoy the amazing beaches, rolling Hills, seaside villages… the blues, the greens. In the City….., theatre, dining out, nightlife.

My trip to PEI was really great in all ways. Mike and Paul are very generous and gracious hosts, wisely suggesting we split our time at their farm and at the city condo. Plus, they're great guys. The farm is beautiful, with gardens for growing vegetables, flowers, animals... the landscaping is great! Lots of places to relax and do nothing, take walks and use as a base for the many driving tours available on the island. Their condo in Charlottetown is also quite comfortable, lots of space, great views and so easy to be a guest in! (Canada Day fireworks viewing from the terrace with cocktails!)

The island is a wonderful place to explore, unless you're looking for big city culture and bustling avenues. It's a great respite from NYC and we easily spent over a week exploring the rolling hills, farms, villages, coastline and beaches. Great beaches and the water is much warmer than the northeast of USA.

This was a non simultaneous exchange, as many islanders want to travel in the winter and wouldn't think of leaving in the summer, when everyone else wants to go.

I'm so happy we took a chance on going to this less-traveled destination. It's well worth it!

Thank you so much Mike and Paul for allowing us to stay on your beautiful property this summer! This was the end of our 8 week road trip up the east coast and was by far the highlight! The farm is amazing, we loved staying in the "barn" guest house, it is such a great space and lives so comfortably we didn't want to leave! It was so nice to be able to hike for miles on your property and bike the surrounding hillsides. Which worked up a big appetite that was quinched by being able to get amazing fresh food from your organic gardens, this was a slice of heaven! The farm is so quiet and serene while being a short drive from town with (2) Starbucks and a great gym! Thanks again for all you wonderful hospitality and we look forward to staying with you again next summer. Chuck and Ray

My partner and I stayed at Mike and Paul's Prince Edward Island farm recently and had a very good experience. We ended up staying in their restored farm house but would have been equally happy in the guest house. Their farm is located in a very scenic part of PEI with rolling hills, pastures, and forest all around. We enjoyed spending time on the farm, either walking on their 4.5 km forest trail, eating organic vegetables from their garden, tanning au naturel on their west-facing decks by the tower, or admiring their herd of Highland cattle (short beasts with big horns). PEI is a small island and Mike and Paul's farm is centrally located, so we spent most days doing scenic drives to various parts of the island, including the amazing beaches on the north shore and the small city of Charlottetown.

Mike and Paul were very good hosts and made us feel completely at home on their farm. We also enjoyed a lobster and mussels dinner with them, and PEI is a seafood lover's paradise. We strongly recommend Mike and Paul's farm for a home exchange, especially if you're looking for a quintessential rural experience.

This was third return visit to PEI, one of the most magical summer places on earth. The Magic is enhanced at Mike and Paul's farm, with the most amazing rural landscape only matched by Mike and Paul's kindness and generosity in sharing the bounty of their farm and pride in their island with tips on things to do and epicurean delights that abound on Prince Edward Island. As good as is the legendary seafood on PEI, it's hard to match the taste of their farm fresh vegetables, home baked breads and deserts and entrees displaying Paul's gourmet skills. Early morning hikes and conversations on a 3 mile hiking track around the farm created special comradely. i could go on and on, but suffice it to say I hope Mike and Paul return for a winter break to Palm Springs in 2018 as their farm and their spirit have left Matt and me with indelible impressions and memories.
