My apartment (100 sq. metres) has two floors: a raised ground floor (living room and open-plan kitchen) and a basement (bedroom and open-plan bathroom). Brand new kitchen with oven, microwave and dishwasher; washing machine and drier, rain shower and seperate bath; a very sunny garden; on a very quiet street just around the corner of the lively canals. I have one very large bed (2.80 x 2 m), but also a self-inflating mattress that could be used in the living room and could sleep 2 more.
I have a very sweet old cat, who sleeps most of the time and is no trouble at all, but she doesn't mind staying at a friend's if you'd rather not have her around.

My apartment is located in the most attractive part of Amsterdam, the Jordaan, an urban conservation area (within the World Heritage site) with low-rise buildings. It forms part of a very characteristic listed building, just around the corner of the Prinsengracht canal.There is a very pleasant shopping street (Elandsgracht) around the corner, with all the shops you could possibly need. The "9 streets", a shopping area with small boutique shops, is also just around the corner. The city centre is a few minutes' walk, as are all the main museums. Easy tram and bus connections to the airport and train station.

I can generally swap at any time, with anyone, just about anywhere. I work from home, as a legal translator, so I can usually get away at any time of the year. I will happily consider any offers, anywhere in the world, for shorter or longer periods.
