You are welcome to splurge at our Mansion in Valencia; exchange or hosting, all is possible... The luxurious Victorian apartment in the heart of Valencia is on the second floor of an 18th century building (with elevator) on a quiet street next to the most central Plaza de la Virgen in the Bohemian and trendy 'Barrio del Carmen' area, recently described as 'best new gay destination' by the New York Times.
The Victorian building has a very attractive black marble regal entrance and modern elevator which are well maintained. The apartment boasts original high period ceilings. The appartment has a two large lounge areas (formal dining room and lounge area), each with charming French balconies overlooking a Roman church and a long picturesque 'calle'. There are two double bedrooms, a third 'extra large' masterbedroom, and two brand new Porcelanosa bathrooms with shower, bath, w.c., bidet and marble basin.
The apartment has an area of 160 square meters. The kitchen has been recently updated with ceramic cooking plates and contains a new Bosch dishwashing machine. Also in a seperate room next to the outside patio, you will find a new Bosch washer and a new Bosh dryer.
The apartment is lavishly furnished with period pieces, oil paintings, art, design and many books. It has an extra large flat screen TV with 130 channels cable to receive CNN, BBC World, movie chanels and other chanels in a variety of languages. Each room has the original ancient restored stucco patterns exposed. The two front lounge rooms overlook the quiet street leading to the Holy Grail Cathedral on Plaza de la Virgenand, the two guest bedrooms are quietly tucked inside the house overlooking a green private patio. The master bedroom and the large fully applied kitchen are situated of the back of the house.
The apartment is wonderfully located in the heart of the historical center of Valencia, just next to most central Plaza de la Virgen. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the main sights as the Ceramic Museum, IVAM modern art museum and of course our neighbour, the Holy Grail Cathedral. The appartment is situated in the trendy Barrio del Carmen district, with a plethora of bars, restaurants, terraces, galleries and small shops.
Within minutes of the apartment there is a vast selection of (gay) restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is well served with three Metro stations within 10 minutes walk. (Xativa and Colon) The Barrio del Carmen District, which is the gay centre of Valencia, is a one minute walk away. As one friend once stated,"Everything one could possibly want in life is within walking distance of this apartment!"
In ten minutes by taxi or tramtrolley, one reaches the large and wide beaches of Malvarosa, with Valencia's recently renovated boulevard. At twenty minutes by taxi, the clothing optional beach of Pinedo attracts both Spanish families and local or vacationing gay men and women, surrounded by beautiful dunes in the vast Albufera Natural Reserve Park. Day trips to the naturist / nudist beaches of El Saler, La Devesa, Cullera, Ambolo and Javea are a must for those who enjoy an all over tan.
We are two young gay guys in a 15 year long term relationship based in Valencia and Amsterdam.
Looking for hosting you in Valencia (march-november) or you could have our whole house during the months of december january february, when we exchange with your attractive home on a warm location. We also have a canal house in Amsterdam to swap. Please note we might have ample space during the busy summer months as we are running the B & B that time.

Our stay at the Valencia Mansion was the highlight of our tour around Spain. The apartment is immaculate and the original art pieces are beautiful. Matt and Kaola are incredibly generous hosts who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. The city is incredibly easy to navigate with plenty to do. The nightlife is fun and the gay scene is thriving. A beautiful city right on a Mediterranean beach...DEFINITELY a gay hot spot!
