Our home is in the private resort area of Lake Arrowhead, CA. About 2 hours from L.A. or from Palm Springs, Lake Arrowhead is an ideal spot for those looking for a peaceful relaxed getaway with clear blue skies and fresh mountain air.

We are located on a quiet cul-de-sac near the private golf club. The lodge-style home has a chef's dream of a kitchen and two en-suite guest bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen). Our 20 foot tall wall of windows face a private wooded area with 100 year old pines and cedars. Over 3,000 square feet, the home has a spacious yard with a vine-covered gazebo plus redwood decks filled with plush outdoor furniture, a hot tub and grill. The home has a large great- room (kitchen, den and powder room) plus a separate living room with baby grand piano and a wall of books. There is also a separate full-fledged office with computer (Wi-Fi and high speed) plus a fax and a small art studio space.

Nicely furnished with one TV (Direct TV with DVR). The ceilings soar to a height of 25 feet, the floors are hardwood with carpeted bedrooms.

There are 2 grocery stores (including one high-end; Jensens), a lovely village area plus a more typical shopping area with library, drug store, post office, good wine store and 4-screen cinema. Restaurants include a couple of high-end fine-dining places plus several Mexican and the best Chinese we've ever had.

We are an American couple, very gay friendly (and able to provide letters of recommendation from both gay and straight friends / acquaitances). This is our primary home, but we travel a good deal and are currently looking for an apartment in Madrid from October 31st to November 7th and again November 14 to the 21st. We enjoy meeting people, do a lot of entertaining at home and appreciate good food and wine!

Lake Arrowhead is the ideal hanging place to relax, unwind, write a book, paint a plein-aire canvas, or hike the woods.

While scenic, quiet, beautiful and private it is not a "scene" place. It's a "nesting" place great for entertaining friends and family. This is an area where many people own a second home to escape the heat of Palm Springs or the urban hassles of Los Angeles. The lake is private, so no boat launching unless one is a property owner.
