Our home is on the ground and first floor in an architecturally distinguished estate. The flat is part of the Golden Lane Estate and although it is in the centre of the city it is quiet and peaceful place to live and does not overlook the road. The estate has many gay residents who would be happy to meet and show you around.
The flat has a compact kitchen and bathroom, a large and airy living room with direct access to a plant-filled balcony. The two bedrooms each have a double bed and built in storage.
A new city-wide bicycle scheme is located nearby.

We are five minutes from the Barbican Arts Centre, and close to Hoxton, Brick Lane, Shoreditch and Spitalfields. It is a 15 minute walk to Tate Modern and the river. The nearest tube is Barbican on the circle line in Zone 1. It is very easy to get to the West End, Soho, the theatre district and Bloomsbury for the British Museum. A new shopping centre ten minutes walk away and overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, has just opened.
The flat is close to the gay bars in Islington and very accessible to the main gay area in Soho.
We are looking for a swap over Xmas and New Year 2011 for two weeks.
