The apartment is in the heart of Amsterdam in a district called Jordaan (which can be compared to Soho in NYC) and is at 5 minutes walking distance of Ann Frank house. The apartment is on the highest floor (4th) and is on a very quiet street . The building has a nice entrance and very modern staircase which is rare in this part of Amsterdam (where staircase are usually fairly steep). The apartment has a large lounge with dining area and an open-plan kitchen. There is one large bedroom and a bathroom. The apartment has an area of 70 square meters. The kitchen is very modern and contains a washing machine. The apartment is nicely furnished and has very high speed internet connection (20 mbs), a large Flat screen TV with cable to receive CNN, BBC World, movie chanels and other chanels in a variety of languages. The bedroom has a video projector with a 2 x2 meters screen. The lounge overlooks one of most beautiful monument of Amsterdam, i.e. the Westerkerk [or Western church). This apartment truly combines both of best worlds: located in the heart of the city but very peaceful and quiet: all one can hear are the birds singing and the chimes of the church.

The apartment is wonderfully located in the heart of Amsterdam in the district called Jordaan. The Jordaan are can be compared to Soho of New York and is one of the coolest place of Amsterdam. It is a 5 minute walk to Ann Frank house and is 10 minute walk from all the shopping streets of Amsterdam. There is a large public swimming pool located 5 minute walk { Marnixbab}. Within minutes of the apartment there is a vast selection of restaurants, Art galleries and shops and a supermarket conveniently located one minute away.

I am a French male born in Martinique and been living in Amsterdam for over 12 years. I work as a corporate lawyer for a global US company and recently started teaching yoga and giving Thai massage. I own as well a small studio 10 minute walk from my home so the exchange can also take place there.
I am not really on the scene and been looking more inward the last 2 years :-)
I am looking to see if I could develop nice exchanges around the world, especially in North America, i.e. Vancouver.
