2-bdrm house, garage, decks, garden & view, close to Castro

City, Central, Quiet

Nearest gay scene is Castro Neighborhood

Noe Valley neighborhood, San Francisco, California, USA

House sleeps 3, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom

Recently remodeled home in a quiet neighborhood just over the hill from the Castro. If you like living in comfortable home with a park-like back yard complete with a big pine tree and visiting birds, this is the place for you. The master bedroom features a queen size bed and looks out to the lower deck and stone stairs to the upper deck. The front bedroom has a full size bed (comfortable for one) and modern oak desk. Between the two bed rooms there's a tile bathroom and a large closet.

The living room is fairly large with a fire place and continues on to the brand new kitchen and dining room, overlooking the terraced back yard. Below the house you'll find a garage with a door that opens with a click of your garage door opener. The stairs from the garage take you up to the kitchen or the back yard.

This is a charming and very comfortable home with friendly neighbors and a feeling of peace and quiet.

Noe Valley is an old-fashioned up-scale neighborhood with many interesting shops and restaurants a short walk away. Or take a 20 minute walk down-hill from the house and you'll be in the heart of the Castro district. The down town area with major stores, theaters, museums and cable cars is easily accessible by public transportation (bus or street car). I recommend taking the historic street cars which run down Market Street connecting the Castro with the historic Ferry Building (with upscale shops inside) at the waterfront.

San Francisco is a jewel in it's own right and if you have never visited, you'll want to do more than explore the usual touristy places (eg: Fisherman's Wharf, Mission Dolores, etc.). You'll want to explore the many unique neighborhoods, including the Mission (about a mile from my house) and Haight Ashbury. If you're athletic, you can walk all the way up to the top of Twin Peaks to catch the panoramic views, but most people take a car or tour bus.
