But there is a limited selection of gay owned and run lodgings around the world and they are not to everyone’s taste.

Our comprehensive listings contain photos, detailed descriptions, rates, discounts, Google maps, website links, contact information, direct online booking and our own online Reservation Request Forms, which are emailed directly from our site to the lodging and which may enable you to receive discounts from our advertisers.
I am looking for a vacation rental – will I find any on your site?
Yes. Many people, particularly couples and friends travelling together, find an apartment or villa rental is a popular alternative to staying in hotels and guest houses. Use our site to discover some of the best gay vacation rentals seeking your custom.
How do I make a reservation?
Easy! Some of our advertisers have their own online booking system, so you can book immediately. Other advertisers use our Reservation Request Forms, where you can make a specific booking request or seek further information. Request forms are a valuable source of personal contact between you and the lodging owner, who will reply with confirmation of availability, a quote and details of how to make your payment.
How do I know when my reservation is confirmed?
If you are booking through the supplier’s own online system you will receieve immediate booking confirmation.
If you book via the Reservation Request form link, you will first receive confirmation that your reservation request has been sent. The lodging supplier will then contact you and answer any of your questions.
Once the supplier has confirmed receipt of your guarantee/deposit, they will send you final confirmation of your booking.
Using a Reservation Request form, how long can a reservation take?
Most lodgings check their email at regular intervals throughout the day, so you should receive a reply within 24 hours. If, after 48 hours, you have received no response, we suggest you either contact the lodging by phone or contact us (phone/email), supply us with your name and a relevant booking number, if available, and we will contact the lodging on your behalf.
What do I do if I need to cancel my reservation?
All lodgings have different cancellation policies. Please check the details on our listing, the lodging’s own website or your booking confirmation from the supplier. As with all cancellations, the more notice you provide, the less you will be charged. We strongly advise you to take out travel insurance at the time of booking.
Who accepts my payment – Home Around the World or the advertiser?
Home Around the World connects you to the lodging advertiser and it is the advertiser who receives and processes your payment. We do not receive a commission from the advertiser.
What if I don’t want to pay by credit card?
Lodgings list their preferred payment options on their listing.
If you decide not to pay by credit card, you may pay by cheque or come to whatever arrangement is acceptable to the supplier.
Who should I contact if I have any questions or problems?
Many of our listings provide complete details, so first check to see if your query is answered on the site. If not, depending on the nature of your query, your contact at the lodging itself may be the best person to help.
And finally, if you have any problems connected with the booking process and you feel we can help, please do not hesitate to contact us. You’ll find our contact information on the site and on the booking form.
Is it cheaper to book through Home Around the World?
Yes, it can be. A 5%-20% DISCOUNT is offered by many of our lodging owners upon use of the Reservation Request Form.

Home Around the World is a long-established and successful worldwide gay home exchange and hospitality network.
