Dear Cass,
My name is Claire and I live in Paris. I recently joined Home Around The World because I have to travel a lot with my job and love the idea of staying in real homes when I travel abroad.
I work in Paris as a design consultant and have recently been appointed to assist a team of architects and designers currently working on some major new buildings in Paris. I am so happy! My new company is sending me to Los Angeles for a week!
The others I am travelling with are all staying in hotels but being lesbian and single I would much rather stay with another lesbian. And as you live so centrally in LA and have a swimming pool, I would be thrilled if you would accept me as your guest.
I am 29 years old, don’t smoke and will probably be out most of the day meeting people associated with work. I hope to enjoy my evenings in Los Angeles and would be very happy to have your advice on where to go to meet others, like me.
I arrive in L.A. on 5th July and leave a week later. I am thinking of travelling up to San Francisco for my last weekend, if I have time.

Thank you for your message. Yes, you would be very welcome to come and stay with me at the beginning of July.
I live in a delightful 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of West Hollywood. It’s situated in a beautiful art deco 1920’s building. My guest bedroom is quite large and has its own bathroom. All the apartments are situated around a private courtyard. The apartments are very quiet and most of my neighbors, who are gay, are also my best friends. It’s a very relaxing place to be, after a hard day’s work. On many warm evenings we all unwind around the pool, drinking cocktails, gossiping and having fun! I have sent you a photo of myself, by the pool, drinking a margarita, my favorite cocktail!
As to cost, I would like to charge you $35 per night, if you find that acceptable.
I have never been to Paris and would love to go and suggest that if we enjoy living together, that I think about vacationing with you later this year, when of course, I would repay you, your $35 per night!
